1948 Schwinn Majestic:

This bike represents some of the earlier attempts at making a balloon tired cruiser into a true "klunker".  The add on front cantilever brake would help slow the bike on the down hills while the Bendix 2 speed would give a little more hill climbing ability.  Carlisle knobby tires were about as good as it got in the 1970's and the truss rods would help keep the fork from bending.
