1986 Ritchey:

This is an odd one.  It is a lugged Ritchey bike from 1986.  We have been unable to find any catalog or magazine reference to a true lugged frame from Ritchey.  We purchased the bike from the original owner who bought the bike in Vancouver Canada.  During the early-mid 1980's there was a pretty big Rocky Mountain/Ritchey connection.  This may have been made for the Canadian market only and made by or sold by Rocky Mountain.  The serial number is stamped on the lower head lug.  Ritchey decals appear on the frame, tubing decal, head badge and fork blades.  The decals appear to be original to the frame and the original owner states that the shop in Vancouver had a whole row of the same model.  It does have rack eyelets on the drop outs and seat stays.  The original hubs were Suntour XC' s but the wheels had been changed when we got it.  If anyone knows the true story behind the bike please let us know and I will update this listing.
