1994 Salsa Ala Carte 24" wheel

Ross made a 24" wheel bike for his son on his ninth birthday and once dealers heard about it, they were clamoring for a production run. Ten were made and, predictably, they didn't sell.  Too expensive for a kids bike.  Most of them ended up going through bike industry channels at bargain basement prices between 1996 and 1997.  This one obviously made a trip to Cane Creek where it was outfitted with a whole slew of Cane Creek family (Cane Creek, Dia Compe, onZa) parts.  The NADS/onZa seat post and Cane Creek Silent Roller Clutch hubs are particularly neat.  The hubs never really made it into production due to the relatively limited torque capacity of the carbon band to hold the roller mechanism in place.
