1998 Ritchey Soft Tail

1998 Ritchey Soft Tail (ST):

Ritchey bike using the Moots YBB (whY Be Beat) suspension design. This design uses a short travel coil spring housed inside the frame and relies on the flexing of the chain stay. There are no pivots on the frame. This produces a minimal (1") travel and is designed to take the edge of the bumps and be virtually maintenance free. This bike would have likely been speced with nicer parts and a Ritchey 2 x 9 drivetrain. As it sits, it is mostly Deore LX.
