Mountain Goat Cycles
Whiskeytown Racer
The original Whiskeytown Racer hit the scene in 1985 and
was named after the classic Whiskeytown Race. Back
then, 26" wheels were the only option so the WTR continues
as our 26" wheel offering. Constructed from double
butted cro-moly
tubing, the WTR features the classic Goat
cues such as head tube reinforcing rings and wishbone seat
stays. To allow the use of modern components, a 1 1/8"
head tube and disc brake mounts are standard while
cantilever mounts are optional. Standard colors are
Team Green, Team Orange, Night Blue and Dirt Brown.
Other colors as well as classic AirArt paints are options.
Geometry
Whiskeytown Racer frame size is measured from the center of the bottom bracket to the top of the top tube where it intersects the seat tube. Since the top tubes are relatively level, the top tube length is an actual measurement. All measurements are based on a 80mm suspension fork. For custom geometry, check out the custom sizing page.
