24" Monark Silver King:  1930's Era bike, one of the earlier attempts at mass produced aluminum bikes.  The ads touted the weight saving vs. a conventional bike but part of the weight savings was due to the use of 24" wheels.  They aren't really "kids" bikes but not as large as a traditional 26" wheel either.  This is an original frame and fork with a mix of vintage and new parts.  New spokes, rims, tires and tubes on vintage hubs.  New fenders which have been drilled for a string skirt guard.  New spring saddle, new skip tooth chain ($75).  Almost $400 worth of new parts on the bike.   Click for more Pictures (2)     Crank Area     Head tube area

1939 +/- Rollfast ladies bike:   One local owner bike in great original condition.  We purchased this bike about 10 years ago and cleaned it up nicely.  Original paint is very nice and the chrome is shiny but shows its age.  The rear kickstand had been replaced with a side stand so I put the rear style back on.  The light is similar to the original but newer.  I strung a skirt guard on the bike but the original was probably a little bit fancier.  Tires were new 10 years ago so they have yellowed a little bit which makes them look more original.  The fender braces were kinda rough so they were repainted.  Very difficult to find bikes that are nearly 70 years old in anywhere near this nice of condition. BIKE37
Riggio Italian road bike:   Neat old Italian frame with chrome lug work and stays, Campagnolo derailleurs and shifters, Balilla brakes, 27" alloy wheels, Gnutti hubs?, 57cm square frame, some corrosion on the lug work but it is still nice and shiny, would needs tires and a tune up to be a rider Click for more Pictures (2)      Head tube area   Rear derailleur/chain stay picture    $250
BIKE39
1970's Raleigh Rampar 24" wheel road bike  Great little project bike. You just don't see 24" road bikes too often and this would be a great way to take the young 'un on your next vintage ride.  24" tubular Fiamme rims laced to Campy low flange hubs, Suntour derailleurs and retro-friction shifters, Tourney crank, alloy caged quill pedals.  This bike has sat somewhere damp and all of the steel parts are corroded and the alloy parts are "peppered".  It would be a great project and get the wee one to help in the restoration.    $125

Mini Krate Schwinn Lemon Peeler 16" rear wheel 12" front: I built this up 10 years ago or so.  It was a 16" wheel Stingray frame that I modified to replicate a Krate.  Parts used include: front and rear Atom drum brakes, Schwinn % speed Stik Shift, original Krate seat shocks added to the mini sissy bar, Schwinn approved rear derailleur, NOS Gripper slick, 20" spring fork.  I tried to use parts that were as similar as possible to the original Krate series of bikes.  We've changed our focus to collecting mountain bikes so this one is now for sale.  It isn't cheap but if you add up the parts used and the effort to make it work, I don't think you could duplicate it any cheaper.  It is basically functional but it has never been ridden.  If you intend to ride it, plan on putting in a little effort to tune it up.  $895

1990 +/- Claud Butler Spectre mountain bike: Neat lugged frame, hand built in England using Reynolds 501 tubing. Appears to be nearly all original parts including a Shimano 500LX group. Nothing has been done to the bike so expect a tune-up and maybe cables, pads and maybe tires to make it rideable.  It would also make a really unique single speed bike as well (don't see too many of these in the US).  $275

BIKE59

1988Specialized Stumpjumper mountain bike: This one definitely screams late 1980's with the U-brake and the two-tone neon paint!  This one has a lot of era-correct parts but is definitely not a "catalog" bike.   Paint show the usual scuffs from being used.  The drop outs can be made horizontal so this would be a great single speed conversion as well.  $295 + Shipping  Click on link to the far left for pictures and details.  18" frame with a 21" top tube.

1970's John Deere bike: We picked this one up as a local trade in and don't have much use for it.  I know there are a lot of John Deere collectors out there and there seems to be a lot of interest in these bikes. This is the 5 speed ladies version and it appears to have pretty much all the original parts including the reflectors and the grip with the John Deere logo  $150 + Shipping

Schwinn Bicentennial Bike Collection:  5 Speed Stingray, Fair Lady and Varsity: In 1976 Schwinn decided to honor the nations bicentennial by offering many of their bikes in a red, white and blue color scheme.  We are selling three of these bikes together as a collection and will not separate them.  The most desirable is the 5 speed boys Stingray which is in nice overall condition with mostly original parts including a very nice blue banana seat.  Second in line is a Stingray Fair Lady with nice original parts including a very nice blue banana seat.  The third bike is a 24" wheel Schwinn Varsity.  This is a great little bike that almost everyone of that age will remember.  It is probably in the roughest condition but would clean up nicely.  All of these bikes are as we found them and have not been cleaned up.  With a good scrubbing, these bikes would make an awesome display.  If we ever find the time, we might just clean them up and keep them!!  $895 for all three bikes plus $225 + shipping
