Mountain Goat #16 Route 29 exploring the wilds of Colorado.

Route 29 with Hot Rod Flames, Industry 9 wheels, White Industries ENO crank, color matched stem and REBA fork, carbon Syncros bar/post........very cool

Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer #4 somewhere in the mountains of Switzerland

Apparently gravity doesn't work in Switzerland!

The Bamboo Route 29 out in its natural element.  Looks great with a little dirt on it!

It was raining when #18 came through the shop so I wasn't able to get good pictures.  Hopefully, Joseph will send some cool shots when he gets it built up.  Whiskeytown Racer #18, Team Green, 16" frame built with Reynolds 853 tubing.

Route 29 #8 with Paragon sliding drop outs.  This bike is set up to be run as a single speed only.

It is always satisfying to see the Mountain Goats visiting exotic locals.  Here is #15 in its new home, Japan.

Mountain Goat Whiskeytown Racer #15 in action in Japan.

Nothing like a real metal head badge.  Stickers........we don't need no stinkin' stickers.

Down tube cable routing, on Route 29 #11, for a super clean top tube.

Single speed specific (say that three times fast) Paragon sliding drop outs with disc mounts.

Close-up of Route 29 #14 Paragon drop outs.  You can see the color nicely in this picture.

Mountain Goat #14, Route 29 in a custom purple color (RAL4007)  with sparkle clear coat.

Whiskeytown Racer, Mountain Goat #15 bound for Yuji in Japan.  This one is a stock Whiskeytown frame with the Salsa drop outs.

Close up of Whiskeytown Racer #15 in the optional white powder coat.  Our goal was to match the white in the decals so you really only notice the black outline.  I think it came out really nice.

Ed's Night Blue Route 29 (#24) before heading out to California.

Niels Night Blue Route 29 (#5) somewhere in Austria (great backdrop!!)

Joe, from England, with Whiskeytown Racer #7 somewhere in the Lakes District  of England

Jill's Route 29 (#9) with an absolutely stunning bamboo paint job and full Shimano XTR group, nice job!

Close up shot of the bamboo paint with matching Rock Shox Reba and Easton stem.

Nice front shot showing off the color-matched fork.  Notice the way the "grain" follows the fork brace!

Here is Whiskeytown Racer #1!!   First of the new batch with the Team Green/Orange reverse splatter paint.  This is pretty much a stock frame except for the paint and Reynolds 853 tubing as opposed to the stock 725. (click on the picture to the left for more pictures and full specs)

Here is Whiskeytown Racer #2 built up as a geared bike.  The bike features the optional Paragon sliding dropouts so that the bike can be run with gears or as a single speed.  It's like getting two bikes for the price of one! (click on the picture to the left for more pictures and full specs)

Route 29 #6 built up with a stock Shimano Deore XT parts package.  Click on the picture to the left to bring up more detailed shots including tire clearance.  Check out the old school Rock Shox RS-1 decals on the new school Reba!  (click on the picture to the left for more pictures and full specs)

Here are a few more pictures of the first batch taken by our friend Wes Stearns, who also took the really nice pictures of the shop that appeared in the March, 2006 Mountain Bike Action magazine.

Nice side shot of Route 29 #5, good lighting sure make a difference in the pictures

This one shows the two different decal styles.  The gold outline decals, with the orange stripes, were originally planned for the green, brown and blue bikes.  I think I like white and black decals on the green so I may switch that one.

Detail shot of the head tube reinforcements and head badge.  This is one of the original badges that Jeff Lindsay supplied to us.  We only had enough for the first batch of bikes but are looking to get replacements made.

This is probably the best picture of the Team Green color.  Most of the other pictures lightened the color too much.  If you like the green, this is the closest to the true color.

This section contains pictures of the first batch of frames.  The first batch consisted of seven frames including five Whiskeytown Racers and two Route 29s.  You can check out each of the four stock colors, two decal styles plus the optional Paragon sliding dropouts.

The pictures in this section were taken by Jelle of http://www.singlespeed.nl/ during his March 2006 visit to the SyCip world headquarters.  Click any thumbnail to view the larger image.

Route 29 frame in it's raw state.  This one is pretty close to being finished.  Just needs a couple of braze-ons and powder coating.  Check out the rack o' Goats in the background.

1..2..3..4..5 Goats all in a pretty row.  I think if you squint real hard at the larger image, you can see Bruce Lee in the background.  Must be the SyCip security system.

The man himself melting metal and sticking some top tube cable guides on a Goat frame

View from the front with a nice look at the head tube reinforcing collars

Nice line-up of head tubes.  You can see the small fillet that is added to the under side of the down tube to beef up the head tube joint.

Couple of drop outs including one with the optional Paragon sliding drop outs (Goat frame #2 for wES)
