We take great pride in the quality of work we do here at First Flight Bicycles making sure your bike works the way that you want it. With all of our services below we are happy to go over your bike with you before hand and show you which services are best for you and why.
This tune includes adjusting the gears, brakes, and bearings; truing the wheels; checking all the nuts and bolts; external lube; and a wipe down. Since we put a wrench on every nut and bolt on the bike during a tune-up, we sometimes find hidden problems that may not be apparent in a less detailed job. Even if a particular component did not need adjustment, you'll know that it was checked and that it is in good shape.
An overhaul includes complete disassembly of the bike, a thorough cleaning of all the components, fresh grease in all the serviceable bearings, and reassembly. This job also includes a free 30-day adjustment period after the service.
With all of new bike sales we perform regular adjustments for the first year free of charge. This tune includes adjusting the gears, brakes, and bearings; truing the wheels; checking all the nuts and bolts. This does not including cleaning and lubing of the drivetrain.
For our customers that are taking advantage of our first year of free adjustments, we offer this package to properly clean and lube the transmission and clean the rest of the bike.
Not all bikes need a full tune-up. Individual derailleur adjustments, bleeding disc brakes, installing new forks, suspension rebuilds, etc. We offer all of these services and many more. We have bikes from 1869 to the present and have worked on them all and are more than willing to work on your bike with special needs. We also keep Sturmey-Archer 3 speed parts, odd Schwinn tires and many more items that other shops do not like to keep.
While most of the jobs above are available with a one day turn around we leave enough flexibility in our schedule to do most minor repairs either while you wait or in short order. Minor repairs include fixing flat tires, truing wheels, and adjusting gears or brakes. Please allow for some interruption time though, as we'll often get a number of customers at once and we want to take care of everyone.
