Cool Old Bikes

Old is a relative term

The First Flight building was once also the home to MOMBAT, the Museum of Mountain Bike Art & Technology. That history is still part of how we think about this place and bicycles. First Flight is also the caretaker of the Mountain Goat name itself, one of the original hand-built mountain bike brands from the earliest days of the sport, and for a time we brought some of Jeff Lindsay's original designs back into production.

The bikes hanging around the shop are part of that same story. Some are Mountain Goats; others are pieces of mountain bike and cycling history, and some are just cool, weird bikes that found their way here. Here's a walk-through of what's above you. We count from the front window, starting with the row behind the bar; you'll figure it out.
